Junior Accountant

This important role in the Administration Team is for a part-time fixed-term position beginning as soon as possible, June 2021 and concluding at the end of Term 1, 2022.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, initiative and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

The primary objective of this fixed term role is to provide financial and administrative support to the Business Manager in managing the Finance function within St Mary’s College. The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the provision of accurate and timely financial information through sound analysis, forecasting and reporting in collaboration with the Assistant Business Manager. The Junior Accountant will ensure the integrity of financial information and transactions, business analysis and compliance for the College.

Service excellence, flexibility and teamwork are essential requirements of the role as the Junior Accountant is required to undertake a range of complex and often competing tasks, manage deadlines and schedules, and to respond to circumstances as they change, whilst at the same time projecting a warm and welcoming spirit to students, colleagues and community members.

A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (NPC) are required. Up to date First Aid and Anaphylaxis training would be advantageous.
